OK, perhaps it doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as ‘boughs of holly’, but we think it works!

As we prep for Christmas, and get ready for the end of the year, it’s time to take a look back at the year that has passed, and if there’s one word that sums up 2025 at Honest Communications, it’s momentum!

It’s been a year of big milestones, client wins, industry recognition, team laughs, and plenty of on-location moments. It’s left us heading into 2026 feeling proud, energised and quietly (perhaps not so quietly… ask our office neighbours) excited about what’s next.

Here’s what we got up to in 2025…

A strong start: leadership, growth and new energy

We kicked off the year with a big moment: the formation of the Honest Communications Senior Leadership Team. Fay and Beth joined Managing Director Holly at the helm, bringing big ideas, ambition, and care for our team and clients. Fay, one of Honest’s first employees, became Operations and Account Director, while Beth took on the new Head of Culture role. Together, they’ve steered the Honest ship into a brilliant new chapter.

January also saw Sophie celebrate her first Honest anniversary, after joining the team in 2024 as part of our university scheme.

February set us up nicely for a successful spring season ahead, supporting multiple clients at the Garden Press Event, securing a casual piece of broadcast coverage for Town & Country on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh, and a PRmoment Awards 2025 shortlist for Best Micro Agency of the Year. We also kicked off our Wellness Walks, taking time to close our laptops for a bit of fresh air, movement, and a creativity boost.

We were also delighted to announce that we’d be working with David Austin Roses once again, supporting two exciting projects for the world-renowned British rose breeding brand.

Spring: campaigns, creativity and Chelsea excitement

March saw the launch of Henchman’s annual Topiary Awards, and Beth brightened our homes by sending flowers to mark the first day of spring – thanks Beth!

In April, we took a well-earned pause from the busy spring season for a team social. Armed with paintbrushes and varying levels of artistic confidence and ability, we headed to Paint A Pot Derby. We promise we’re much better at PR than we are at painting!

May arrived in full bloom. We headed to David Austin Roses HQ, joined by the BBC, to capture exclusive moments ahead of RHS Chelsea Flower Show – a real highlight of the year for us.

Then came Chelsea itself. As part of our work with David Austin Roses, we helped announce the launch of the stunning King’s Rose (read all about it here!) which included a Royal visit from none other than His Majesty King Charles, while also celebrating another huge success as Hillier won RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2025 for its Philadelphus x ‘Petite Perfume Pink’.

And to round off the month, Beth celebrated her fourth Honest anniversary!

Summer: wins, anniversaries and new partnerships

June saw us celebrate two years of Dani at Honest and a trip to BBC Gardeners’ World Live for inspiration and to support Hillier.

July was a big one. We were thrilled to announce that we’d started working with Charles Bentley, a heritage British brand. We kicked things off with a brand voice workshop, before getting stuck in to ongoing support for PR, social media and influencer marketing.

And then came a moment we’re incredibly proud of: Honest Communications was named Specialist PR Consultancy of the Year at the CIPR Global Excellence Awards 2025. To be recognised for our expertise in the home and garden space is a huge honour, and a real testament to the passion, creativity and hard work of the whole team.

July also took us out on location. Dani swapped the office for the Kitchen Garden at Rudding Park Hotel, filming content for Nemasys all about beneficial nematodes, and Fay headed to SOLEX before marking her fifth Honest anniversary in August.

August brought sunshine, laughter and a bottomless brunch summer social, followed by a trip to Ampfield, where Fay, Dani and Sophie caught up with the Hillier Garden Centres team.

Autumn: new clients, trends and team milestones

September saw a double dose of good news with a new client alert we were very happy to share. We began working once again with two iconic British gardening brands: Baby Bio® and Maxicrop®.

Having supported both brands on previous campaigns, we were really pleased to be back on board to provide PR and influencer marketing support for these much-loved heritage names. We also signed up to support the growth of another SBM Life Science brand – Thermacell.

September also meant a trip to Glee, where we supported clients Baby Bio, Maxicrop, Thermacell, Seedball Town & Country, Wilkionson Sword, WOLF-Garten and Charles Bentley.

October saw the launch of our 2026 Trends Report with insights from inspiring voices across the home and garden world, including the likes of Dr Emily Attlee, Laura Kavanagh, Sarah Stannard, Dr Sarah Owen Hughes, Isabel Fernandez, and Naomi Bentley. If you missed it, have a read here!

October also brought more great internal news, with Sophie promoted to Senior Account Executive, and the team joining Perkbox, adding even more support and perks to our people-first culture.

Finishing the year strong!

November saw us celebrate Honest Communications’ seventh birthday (with tea and Colin the Caterpillar), plus plenty of client catch ups, reviewing campaigns and planning for 2026.

December brought festive cheer: our Santa’s grotto, Secret Santa, and a festive fuddle.

… and between all of that, we continued to deliver amazing results for our clients, with 2,400 pieces of coverage (and counting!).

As we head into 2026, we’re proud of what 2025 has brought and excited for what’s next. Thank you to all our clients, collaborators, and friends who support us.
